Before I photographed other people’s stories, I lived my own.

A story of more than 15 years behind the camera.

It all started at home.
I have always loved photography. Long before I had a professional plan, I already had a camera in my hands, capturing my family, simple moments, and the people I loved.

When I started my degree in Advertising and Communications, photography took on a whole new meaning. I learned about communication, creativity, aesthetics, and, most importantly, how an image can tell a story.

Always learning.
I also studied Photography at the Federal University of Ceará, deepening my knowledge and turning something I did out of passion into both a skill and a profession.

Communication & photojournalism.
My journey took me through different areas of communications. I worked on political campaigns and later for the city government, working in Communications, where I experienced institutional photography and photojournalism firsthand.

Then came private companies, events, and once again, families. With every job came a new story, a new experience, and another reason to keep photographing.

A new life, a new perspective. 🇺🇸
When I moved to the United States, my photography entered a new chapter as well.

I began focusing even more on outdoor family sessions, weddings, baptisms, and other special celebrations.

What never changed.
The places changed. The people changed. The experiences changed. Even my perspective evolved.

But one thing remained the same:
I still believe photography is about preserving the moments that time can never repeat.

After more than 15 years, I look back and realize that every chapter brought me exactly where I am today.

From those first photographs of my family to the stories I now have the privilege of capturing professionally.

On World Photography Day, I don’t celebrate just a profession.

I celebrate a passion that grew alongside me, took me through different paths, and continues to allow me to preserve stories through my eyes.
