hello to my new followers! think of this as an 'about me' post, but without the boring corporate headshot and with 100% more personality.. 🙃

i'm courtney! the face behind the lens at CMP! ✨️

I started loving photography at a young age; I used to make my mom pose and do the classic glamour shot poses while I snapped away on our old Kodak. 📸

I started my business up in late 2024 after about 5ish years as a hobbyist! it was equally liberating and terrifying! 🤣

I currently live in Norwalk with my dog Banks who I love to bits! I will always be 100% down for dogs coming along for photo sessions, where locations allow! 🐾

I play the piano and have a deep love for all kinds of music. I love asking clients what they're currently listening to and try to throw on some of their favorites, during our session! 🎶

I work full-time in contracting and licensing in the life/annuity space; you'll see primary session dates mainly available during weekends or in the evenings, for this reason! maybe someday, photography will be my full time gig. 🙏🏻

I love COLOR; my editing style brings in rich color tones with a little extra razzle dazzle to make different areas POP and catch your eye. ✨️

I keep it casual at my sessions and you'll typically always see me in a hoodie and beanie in colder months or a tee and sneaks in warmer months; it's a 50/50 chance on if I'll have makeup on or not! 🫣

I am super close to my family and documenting memories for families holds a very special place in my heart! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

I love a good book and am part of a book club; I read 21 titles last year and am hoping to exceed that this year! if you ever want to talk about new picks you are reading, count me IN! 📚

I strive to always make clients feel comfortable and at ease; I want your sessions to feel like you are working with a family friend versus a 'professional'! 💯

outdoor sessions will always excite me more than studio sessions; I am an earth child and love to be out in nature for sessions as much as I can! I am a sucker for beautiful trees and a moody sunset. 🌅

I firmly believe laughter is the best medicine; genuine smiles, laughter and joy are what make photographs truly timeless. ☺️
