Ross Keller Photography My love for photography began at a young age. As I got older, I realized that what I really enjoy about photography, is the story behind the image.

A photograph is a single moment, in that story, preserved forever. It provok

es thought, sparks a memory, and creates emotion. When I capture a beautiful image of someone, and that image takes them back to that day, that moment, I truly feel as though I am giving that person a gift. Something to be treasured. I started Ross Keller Photography with my wife Mary. Together, we were able to turn my passion into a growing, successful business. It has been a lot of hard work, but there is nothing more rewarding than being able to do what you love! Mary works hard behind the scenes handling a large part of the "business stuff", and is also quite visible during many of my photography jobs - as my second shooter. We would be honored and privileged to document and tell YOUR story! We are available for all special occasions, such as engagements, weddings, mitzvahs...

One year ago today, Kara and Matt said "I do" in the quiet of the forest, on a gorgeous, sun-filled (but COLD!) day. Kara and Matt had a beautiful vision for their rustic wedding, and together, spent many hours designing and making all of the wedding decor. As if that wasn't enough, Kara also hand-dyed all of the wooden bouquets that she and the wedding party carried! It was quite an undertaking, and having planned our own wedding, I can't imagine how they had the time, or energy to do all they did!

The personal effort put into their wedding, speaks volumes as to who Kara and Matt are. They are true partners, whether tackling MULTIPLE home renovations (Kara can swing a hammer with the best of them!), cooking together (Matt is no slouch in the kitchen!), or enjoying countless adventures snowmobiling, fishing on Long Island Sound, or camping all over New England. They work extremely hard, and play even harder!

Kara and Matt, we cannot tell you how happy we are that you found each other. We are in awe of all you have accomplished, your boundless energy, and your love and respect for each other. Nothing makes us happier, then watching you create such a beautiful life for yourselves.

We love you both! Happy Anniversary! xoxo

Katt and Alex's wedding took place on a cold, snowy day in early December, at a gorgeous venue on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. The day was simple, personal, and intimate in the most beautiful way, with a focus on what was most important to Alex and Katt...their commitment to each other, and their close relationships with family and friends. Like me and Ross, Katt and Alex did not have a formal wedding party, and instead chose to recognize special friends in their lives. Watching the obvious camaraderie among the group was really sweet to see, and showed how much Alex and Katt are loved by all who surround them. The ceremony was officiated by Alex's cousin's husband, and he did a wonderful job. His words were poignant and thoughtful, (with a little bit of humor added in), and as the snow fell outside the wall of windows overlooking the lake, Katt and Alex recited their handwritten vows and pledged their love to one another. It was beautiful. The reception was absolutely perfect, with soft candlelight on every table, a fire burning in the stone fireplace, and delicious food. A handwritten thank-you card awaited every guest at their seat, another special and personal touch. Once the party started, we were treated to some great music with lots of hilarious and enthusiastic dancing (LOL!), and photo booth fun! And, as the evening came to an end, all of the guests formed a circle around Alex and Katt, while they warmly embraced every single one. It was incredibly sweet. Katt and Alex, we were honored to be part of such a special, beautiful wedding in such a magical setting. We love you both, and wish you a lifetime of happiness together! xoxo

One year ago today, on a beautiful September afternoon, Savanna and Cory pledged their love to one another, and said “I do”. It’s hard to believe how quickly time has gone, but their wedding is still fresh in my mind, and as I think back, I recall the joy and happiness the day brought, and how easy-going and calm both Savanna and Cory were, so sure of their commitment to each other, and the promises they were about to make.

Savanna and Cory put a lot of thought and personality into their day, and incorporated some hilarious elements (faux First Look with one of Cory’s groomsmen, our first-ever Groom Toss…OMG!!!!, Beer Pong entrance, and a choreographed father/daughter dance), to name a few. There were also a number really sweet, heartfelt moments…special wedding gifts to each other (Cory gave Savanna a puppy named Bear, which immediately brought her to tears), a REAL First Look, beautifully written vows that they privately read to each other, and a very personal ceremony officiated by Cory’s step-father. It was a perfect day, and as always, we were honored to be part of it!

This last year has been good for Savanna and Cory…they’ve been traveling, have settled into their home, their careers are going well, and Bear has two goat-siblings! :) Happy Anniversary, Savanna and Cory! Thinking of you on this very special day, and wishing you many, many more years of happiness together! Enjoy a little re-cap of the day you planned so perfectly for yourselves! xoxo

As summer comes to an end, it always causes me to think about what was, and what is next to come. I think about the long, relaxing days we've had, filled with quiet times at the marina or out on the boat, dinners with friends, evening walks, and of course, lots of ice cream! I also think about the beautiful events we've been part of, and the wonderful people we've met these last few months.

Our summer photography work began with Nicole and Pete's GORGEOUS Cape Cod wedding. The weather was spectacular, and the venue, historic and beautiful. Nicole and Pete had waited a long time for this day to come, and life has not always been easy along the way. Faith, love, and commitment to their family, along with a tremendous amount of hard work brought them to this moment, and it was truly an honor to be part of such a special day.

Every wedding we've witnessed is unique, filled with personal and special details, and Nicole and Pete's day was no different. As I look through their gallery of images, a few stand out to me. I remember early in the planning process, Nicole telling me she had found her dress...a style she had literally been dreaming about since she was a little girl! It was absolutely gorgeous, and I could not have envisioned anything more perfect on her! The ribbons that adorned Nicole's bouquet contained buttons from her grandmother's wedding dress, an heirloom passed on to Nicole from her cousin Lynnzie, after she had used them on her own bouquet, a number of years ago. The First Look Nicole had with her father, such a sweet and poignant moment. Nicole and Pete's handwritten vows, so personal and honest there was not a single guest (or photographer) that did not have a tear in their eye, while listening to their heartfelt words. And the joy in their eyes, as they danced in each others arms, finally able to celebrate this long-awaited day, the beginning of the rest of their lives, together.

Congratulations, Nicole and Pete! We wish you a wonderful, happy, healthy life! Thank you for including us in your beautiful day...we enjoyed every minute! xoxo

A HUGE congratulations to Megan, who recently graduated from Merrimack College with her Bachelors in Exercise Science! No rest for Meg, though! This summer she is working with athletes at Yale, fulfilling a requirement as part of her Master's program, which will lead to a Master's Degree in Athletic Training.

A life-long athlete herself, Megan has picked the perfect path and career to follow. Love the confidence the images captured, during this special time in her life!!

Isabel and Luis were both born in Portugal, and knew each other as children. When Luis moved to the United States early in his life, they completely lost touch. Isabel continued her life in Portugal and then moved to various parts of the world before arriving in the United States herself, settling in Connecticut. Fate is a funny thing, because many years later, while Isabel was sitting at her desk at work, a new employee walked by and she recognized him right away. It was Luis! (You really can't make this up!). After a few years of getting to know each other again, Isabel and Luis said "I do", on a gorgeous winter's day, in The Glass Room at Il Palio, in Shelton. Family and friends literally came from all over the world for this joyous celebration, and as always, we were honored to be part of it!
