Your wedding dress might be the most expensive dress you ever own. Let's make sure you wear it at least twice.

Portraits are the part of the wedding day that usually gets rushed. Too many people needing you, too little time, the dress photographed in whatever ten minutes we can steal. A studio session gives you that time back. In a studio session we get to play, test the light, embrace movement, and make the dress the whole point instead of a quick frame between events.

This gown from .denver has gauzy layers that practically ask for backlight, so we gave them exactly that. Precise lighting placement, and the right settings to catch every bit of fullness and movement helped create these special portraits that would take time and energy on your wedding day that you just don't have. If your gown deserves more than ten stolen minutes, this session is for you.

Something old, something elven.

Engagement sessions are all about showing off your personalities and relationships. For Michelle and Matthew that meant leaning into their love of fantasy, but also embracing a little bit of family history. Michelle's dress was handmade by her aunt back in the 70s, with new dramatic sleeves added the morning of our session or an extra bit of whimsy. From there, the forest did the rest, handing us the kind of dappled light any Disney animator would swoon over.

Your session should look like no one else's, because it's about no one but the two of you.

Wedding party photos have a reputation for being boring, but obligatory part of the day. There's the classic lineup, the polite smiles, making sure all the hands are in the right place; you know the routine. We'll get those photos. They're worth having, and they don't take too long. But then comes the fun part.

This is the crew that showed up for you. They're your closest friends and some of your most important people. They've helped shape who you are. So let's make photos that look like you actually like each other and let your personalities shine! Let's get goofy with it and make this a part of your day that you actually enjoy!

Six hours. That was the entire day of coverage here, and it still held a full ceremony, portraits, and all the big moments of the reception.

A shorter timeline doesn't mean missing the photos that matter. It means we plan the day well, move with it, and stay ready for the moments worth catching. The ceremony, the portraits, the reception when it really gets going. All of it fits. You don't have to book sunrise to midnight to walk away with the whole story. Sometimes six hours is exactly enough.

Editorial portraits don't have to take up all your time on the wedding day.

I worked with Mahkena + Christian of to prove the concept. Give a real couple a studio, a considered lighting setup, and a few unrushed hours and together we can create something truly special.

This is what I'm building for couples now. A session that's only about the portraits, shot with intention, made to feel like a magazine page. This is the session I've wanted to offer for a long time, and it's finally here. Bookings are open, and I'd love your session to be next!

On a wedding day, I’m chasing the light. In the studio, I get to build it. That’s the reason I offer studio bridal portraits. You get to slow down, get creative, create a little bit of ✨drama✨, and have a completely different experience than on your wedding day.

Some moments we pose. Most we just set up and let unfold.

A portrait, for us, is mostly about getting you into position and then stepping out of the way. We’ll put you in good light, point you toward each other, and from there your love leads. We’re not directing those moments. We’re just close enough to catch them.

And then sometimes we back all the way up and let the place do the talking. At the Botanic Gardens, that matters more than usual. A venue like that is almost its own character for the day, and a wide frame lets it into the story instead of cropping it out.

That’s the whole approach. Set it up, then let it happen.
