Lali Studio Update — February 2026

Over the past few weeks, I experienced an unexpected medical emergency that required hospitalization and two procedures. I’m now home and in recovery, moving slowly and focusing on healing with my family close by.

This season has been tender — full of rest, sunlit afternoons, and quiet moments making art while my boys build “campsites for mami” to help me feel better.

During this time, I’ve also found myself returning to the earliest roots of why I began this work — the desire not just to document a moment, but to hold it with care.

In the background, I’ve been exploring a new, more intimate portrait offering that weaves together photography and hand-finished artwork. It’s still unfolding, and I look forward to sharing more in the coming months.

Thank you for your continued patience and kindness while I take the time my body needs to recover fully. Lali Studio will be gradually reopening bookings for Spring sessions in the coming weeks.

Five months ago, I stepped back into photography after becoming a mom of two—and I’m so thankful.

Thank you to my clients for trusting me with your families and your stories. Documenting this season of life has been such a gift.

I’m stepping away from social media for a bit (yes, even here), not because I’m leaving—but because I’m listening.

Art is not a hobby. It’s a calling.
And answering a calling requires going inward.
That inward work is becoming part of my business ritual—because if I’m disconnected from myself, I won’t love what I’m offering you.

Something new is coming soon—an additional offering alongside my packages. I feel excited, nervous, and strangely at peace.
I’ll be sharing more on my blog.

Hi, I’m Laura — the heart behind Lali Studio.

This photo was taken the month we lost our daughter Camila far too soon.
My husband and I went on a drive, turned on our favorite songs, and somehow found ourselves laughing for the first time in weeks. I took this picture because I wanted to remember that moment… the way hope can show up softly, even in deep grief.

My journey through loss, healing, and eventually becoming Nico and Subí’s mom is the foundation of the tenderness behind Lali Studio — the way I photograph families with reverence, softness, and an understanding that every story is sacred.
