Keeping my fingers crossed my image, "Pittock's View" will be one of 60 photographers chosen for the Critics' Choice 2024 and be featured in a group exhibition at Photo London.
This had been on my bucket list of shoots, as well as my second try after the weather didn't cooperate the first time. Somewhat of a fluke, while in Portland for a real estate shoot, it dawned on me I was close to the Pittock Mansion where this was taken from. The sky was clear and the sun was setting, I knew this was my chance to get 'the shot', after which, I could hardly contain myself from the excitement. Timing is everything in photography, a memory that's true to the heart.
