Friendly reminder since we’re in the middle of engagement season: You’re not selfish for eloping.
You’re not disappointing anyone by choosing what feels right for you. You’re not missing out by skipping the stress of a traditional wedding. And you’re not being dramatic by wanting your day to actually feel like yours.
It’s okay to want a slow morning with your partner instead of getting ready with ten different people rushing in and out of your room. You’re allowed to read your vows in private, without an audience, before your ceremony. You’re allowed to prioritize YOUR experience.
The couples I work with aren’t running away from anything. They’re running toward something better. A day that feels intentional. A celebration that serves THEM. An experience they’ll actually remember enjoying.
If you’re newly engaged and feeling pressure to plan something big and traditional, this is your reminder that you absolutely can do this differently. And I’d love nothing more than to help you figure out what that looks like for you, and how to make it as fun and stress-free as possible. 🤎
