After graduating from Columbia College with a journalism degree, I quickly dropped my pen, and picked up a camera. I have always loved storytelling, which I found I could do much better with imagery than words. My fascination with people is rooted in a strong love of psychology, and I try to capture the most genuine moments using natural light and minimal retouching. Two years ago our family made

the move from Chicago to Denver, and I’ve been slowly but surly building a business here. I’m back nearly every month and I also travel all over for your photographic needs! I do a lot of commercial and editorial work, but when I'm not doing that, I'm busy shooting weddings and families with a very candid and photojournalistic approach. I simply just love, love, and I want you to have these memories frozen in time forever.

This was my third year doing 5 minute photo sessions in the park for and ! They hire me and treat their clients to family photos and donuts every fall. I love these fast paced sessions and seeing these families grow over the years.

I’ve been friends with for many, many years. I think he was one of the first people to ever buy my art and put it in his house. I absolutely loved meeting and photographing his family, and this was one of my favorite shoots of the summer. A perfect night in Humboldt park.

Lauren + Steven (part I of probably III:) I met when I first moved to Denver a few years ago and we became fast friends over margaritas and porch hangs. She asked me to photograph her wedding in Italy two years in advance and I began counting down the days. It was such a gorgeous day, and despite the looming possibility of rain, it held out and was perfect. Lauren and Steven are a dream team, and I see a big awesome future for them. So honored they allowed me to photograph this day.
