A story of how Black women came together to connect, create, empower, and build. The start of a good thing. So grateful for this community already, and what it’ll mean for the little brown and Black girls who share these dreams and will see us doing it.

Thank you to all the ladies who came. To Justyce Sandlin who came for the vibes then became our impromptu model lol. To Black Girls Shoot Too for creating the blueprint for a vision we had in our minds, but you’d already brought to life. LET’S TALK ABOUT AI & PHOTOGRAPHY. 📸🔥

As a professional photographer, I’m learning to embrace AI as another creative tool, but there’s one thing I refuse to compromise, and that’s the integrity of my original work.

Swipe and look at the before and after.

The posing? REAL.
The lighting? REAL.
The athletes? REAL.
The original photographs? SHOT BY ME.

What AI helped me do was take the vision a step further by creating an environment that wasn’t physically there.

But here’s where I think photographers have to be intentional. Enhancing an image and completely changing an image are two different things.

I don’t want AI changing my subjects’ faces, their bodies, their uniforms, or the details that make my photographs authentic. I want to build ON what I captured, not replace it.

And trust me, AI doesn’t always get it right! 😂 That’s why knowing your craft, paying attention to details, and having a creative eye still matter.

AI is a tool. Not the photographer.

The vision still starts behind the lens. 🎯

Me personally? I’m going to use AI to enhance my creativity, not replace the authenticity of my work.

But do you! 😌

Yesterday was EVERYTHING I didn’t know I needed! The energy, the connections, the creativity, the COMMUNITY! ❤️📸

Still taking it all in and feeling so grateful for the spaces we’re creating and the women I’m getting to create alongside.

I don’t know what’s coming next, but after yesterday, one thing I do know is I’M READY! 🥹🙏🏽💪🏽

This is only the beginning! 📸🤎🎉

I don’t even know where to begin… 🥹📸❤️

We had a vision, and somehow everything aligned even better than what we imagined!

COMMUNITY. COLLABORATION OVER COMPETITION. REAL CONNECTIONS. BIG ENERGY.

This right here is what happens when we come together, support one another, and THINK BIG! Because ain’t no lil NOTHING over here! 😂👏🏽

So many times, the world tries to put us against each other, make us feel like there’s only room for one of us to win, or convince us that somebody else’s success takes away from our own. And enough is ENOUGH!

There is too much money, too much opportunity, and WAY too much talent for us to be competing when we could be creating together!

We are so much better when we come together, share our knowledge, pour into one another, and make room for the next woman to win too!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, connected, and brought their creativity into this space. You all made this something special! ❤️

POV: Your photographer knows her angles, her lighting, her worth, and how to have a good time. 📸💃🏽

When you realize you’re not just paying for pictures… you’re paying for the eye, the experience, and the expertise. 📸✨

Because quality portraits don’t happen by accident. There’s intention behind the lighting, the angles, the posing, and every little detail. 😉

And while I love a good dance break, one thing I don’t play about is my craft! 😂
