A lot of couples are anxious to get in front of the camera on their elopement day.. But you don’t have to be nervous! We’ll help with all the prompts and “poses” so you’ll never be left feeling unsure or uncomfy, while also getting fun, natural photos 🤝

All we ask from you is to enjoy the moment, be fully present with each other, and trust the process! 🫶🏼

If it’s just the two of you we can go to almost any epic view on National Forest land and have the ceremony. However when you’re inviting a large group of people to your ceremony, you need a venue or reservable ceremony site.

This is because you’ll need somewhere accessible that’s easy for your guests to get to, enough parking for everyone, room for everyone to gather for the ceremony while staying on durable surfaces, and if you want a set up with chairs, an arbor, aisle runner, etc. you can’t do that on public land, you’ll need a venue.

The good news is that you aren’t limited to just big, traditional venues. There are tons of untraditional wedding venue options for small ceremonies that still offer those beautiful mountain views you’re probably dreaming of.

And if you’re torn between the intimacy of an elopement and celebrating with guests, you can always do BOTH to get the best of both worlds. Spend one day celebrating with your loved ones — and then have another day that’s just the two of you, exploring somewhere epic and sharing vows privately.

If you want our full list of micro wedding venues in Colorado, comment “SMALL VENUES” and we’ll send it over to you! 💌

When we got here it was rainy and the clouds obstructed the visibility of the mountains.. then 5 minutes later, it looked like this. Forever grateful that Mother Nature gave us a little pocket of epic views for I+K's elopement!

When you want the epic views without having to hike- the San Juan mountains are the place to go 👏 ESPECIALLY if you love off-roading, this place is paradise.

& the crazy part is these photos were only like 2h out of L+T’s 10 hour elopement! So many more locations and activities were had (scroll back through my feed to see an epic horseback ride and sunrise lake ceremony).

We’re 99% booked for 2026- but have ONE spot left in the San Juans for August. Would love to plan + photograph an epic elopement for you here this summa 🤝

Did you know you can get married in a national park for like $100–$300? 👀 Most spots let you bring 30–50 guests too, so you can still have your favorite people there without the crazy venue price tag.

And if you’re keeping it super intimate with no guests, you can even elope on national forest land for freeee 🙌🌲 Talk about a dream backdrop.

Would you go with the park + guests, or just the two of you out in the forest?

Your sign to add night photos into your timeline 💫 Here’s what you need to know if you’re considering staying out after the sun goes down!

1) There’s a difference between blue hour photos and star photos. Blue hour happens right after sunset, while there’s still some light in the sky. This is the perfect time to bring out lanterns (yes you can borrow ours!) and/or a fun activity like a campfire and s’mores while we wait for the stars to come out for astrophotography (usually at least an hour after sunset). 🏮

2) To photograph the stars, the conditions have to be right. A lot of things can impact their visibility - from light pollution, to cloud coverage, and even the phase of the moon. Don’t worry though, we can get cool photos no matter what ✨

3) Timing. True star photos can take time! Waiting for it to get dark enough and setting up the tripod and getting the settings and lights dialed in.. it does take time, and takes a lot of standing still. But if you’re patient and brave the cold? It can be so worth it 😍
