The Puerto Rican boa is my favorite species of snake native to the United States of America. "But Travis Puerto Rico isn't part of the United States". You are correct that Puerto Rico isn't a state, however it is a territory of the United States, dummy. The 3 million people that live there are citizens of the United States and even though we don't let them vote in presidential elections, they still are still governed under federal law. Puerto Ricans have had U.S. citizenship since 1917, and right after we gave them that we also made them eligible to be drafted for war. Almost 400,000 Puerto Ricans have fought for your freedom despite not having a voice in the government that ultimately controls them. And just a fun fact for you all, roughly 25% of Puerto Ricans serve or have served in the United States military, which is more than any other state in the U.S. So today while all 12 of you watch kid rock run out of breath singing about underage girls at his so called all American halftime show, please remember that the freedom you all love so much was made possible in part by Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷

The coquí frog is a small frog native to the island of Puerto Rico. Despite its small size this frog is extremely loud and never shuts up, kind of like all the internet keyboard warriors mad about the super bowl halftime show this year.

Just a reminder that your first amendment rights cover freedom of speech and your right to protest, even if you are being critical of your government. And in the United States of America you are innocent until proven guilty for any wrong doing you may have done. Everyone is entitled to due process and despite what the news says, the government is not allowed to murder you in the streets for inconveniencing them.

Also, here's an Orange Baboon Tarantula which is a fast, defensive, and venomous old world tarantula from Africa.
Pterinochilus murinus

The only good ICE is an ice bearded dragon. Sorry I needed a segway for my incoming rant....
We live in a world now where everything that happens is uploaded all over the internet within seconds. Day after day we see the same things happening again. We are so desensitized to watching people get killed in real time that it barely phases us. It's too common of an occurrence anymore and it's sad how used to it we have become. We see 4 different angles from 6 different news outlets before the victim's body is even cold. Our government is ignoring due process and using deadly force as it's first option. Our elected officials are known more for their tweets than their policies. Our "news" is anything but that and they don't even try to hide the lies anymore. We have a masked, unidentified task force doing whatever they want and going totally unchecked. We are all just supposed to act like it's normal. They tell us all these small groups of people are the enemy. The truth is that your life isn't bad because of an undocumented immigrant, or a transgender person, or a person of color or whatever other minority group they told you to hate this week. Your life is bad because the government sold you the idea of a system that only benefits the top 1% and they tricked you into thinking that you could join the club. Right vs left, Left vs right, it doesn't really matter anymore because democracy is dying. What does matter though, is that too many of you are watching our government shoot innocent people in the streets for no reason and you aren't even a little bit mad about it. You are allowed to be critical of the government, even if you voted for the guy. It's ok to say "hey this isn't right". If you aren't mad yet, I am curious what it will take to make you mad. Does it have to happen to someone you know and love before you care? When did we just stop caring about each other? Love thy neighbor? Do unto others as you would have them do unto you? Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free? Does anything mean anything anymore? Remember the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

oh, and f**k ICE
