โ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ ๐จ๐๐๐โฆ I walked across that stage at University in 1989 with an Elementary Education degree and a heart full of dreams? ๐โจ
It started in 3rd grade โ sitting in Miss Cook's Westvale Elementary classroom, watching her love every single student, and thinking, I want to do that. And somehow, I did. ๐๐
One year as a 3rd grade intern at Larsen Elementary in Spanish Fork. Seven years in 5th grade Kiva Elementary in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Two years serving on the National Science Teachers Board of Directors. ๐ A district science fair to run, friendships to build, and hundreds of little moments I'll never forget. ๐ฌ๐ค
And in 1997, I added another milestone โ a Master of Education in Curriculum Implementation and Evaluation. ๐ Because a teacher never stops learning. ๐
Then the greatest teaching assignment of my life โ raising five children of my own. โค๏ธ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ
In 2000, a new chapter opened its door: Miss Julie's Preschool. ๐กโ๏ธ For 17 years, over 200 little ones came through my home โ curious, joyful, and so wonderfully themselves. ๐ Every single one holds a permanent spot in my heart. ๐
In 2021, that chapter quietly closed. But what was built inside that little home โ the love, the learning, the laughter โ that never ends. ๐ฅน๐
These days you'll find me as a substitute teacher with Granite School District, walking into classrooms and choosing, every single time, to show up for these kids โ to love them, encourage them, and remind them that they matter. ๐ช๐โค๏ธ
Teaching isn't just what I do. It's who I am. ๐ฉโ๐ซโจ
