I began my photography business in 2009, but between the plethora of photographers in DeKalb County, not wanting to push sales and concern myself with social media algorithms, and my focus shifting even more toward volunteer work (and possibly new adventures), I have made the decision to close my business at the end of the calendar year. This decision was not made lightly, but I think it's just time.

If you have purchased a gift certificate that has not been redeemed, I will still honor those, but I would appreciate getting the session in before the end of the year for bookkeeping purposes.

Some of you have been with me for the entire 17 years or pretty close to that. I cannot thank you enough if you've been a loyal client year after year.

Each of you (whether a one time client or more) have made my career a joy! I have enjoyed meeting each and every one of you and I truly appreciate your business and the word of mouth recommendations!

I would love to go out with a bang-so if you'd like to schedule a session before things come to an end, please let me know. If I don't see you again, I wish you all the best!

It was so fun to photograph Will on a beautiful fall day! I've known Will since he was a young child performing in musicals with my daughter. So fun to see him grown up/as a teen! Best wishes for the future, Will! I know whatever you do, you'll put your unique creative stamp on it!

Sneak peek. I'm loving how these headshots turned out! Headshots don't have to be stiff or boring. This beauty will be using her headshots for auditions. I do various types of headshots-business, authors, podcasters, etc. Let me know if you want to take your LinkedIn profile photo or social media photo to the next level!

Here are the details/rules: The first person to comment, gets the right to book that mini session first. Mini sessions are $90 for a 15-20 minute session and approximately 10-15 images. I thought it would be a fun way to keep my skills sharp and offer something new to my clients. This is also a great way to get your holiday card photo in advance! Rules: 1. You must schedule your mini session that month or the following month. If you can’t, it goes to the next person to comment.
2. You must pay 50% when you book your session. 3. The session must take place in DeKalb-Sycamore. 4. Mini sessions are for single family units-meaning, these are not to be used for extended family/large groups-you’ll need to book a full session for those. You can use your mini session for some grad photos, child, family, headshots for your job. Looking forward to re-connecting with some regular clients and/or meeting new ones!

We had beautiful weather for this beauty’s senior session. I love doing grad photos-it’s an exciting time in the life of a teen/young adult and I love giving them the individual attention they deserve & hopefully help them see the inner and outer beauty they display!
