You wouldn't believe how fast newborns grow! I love capturing newborn photos in the first few weeks to preserve all of those little details and the glow of those first moments together as a family.

I come to you in the comfort of your own home. Don't even think about trying to clean and tidy for me! This is a time for you to be resting, healing, and bonding. All we need for amazing photos is a little corner where you feel cozy and comfy.

We usually spend about 2-3 hours together. Nobody should be feeling rushed or pressured to make things perfect. We take our time for the inevitable feedings and diaper changes. Babies are unpredictable and that is why we go with the flow

Beautiful baby girl born tonight! 🥰 Her mama was determined to have an April Fools baby!

He says "No thank you!" to his first bath😅 Babies do come out pretty goopy... Some blood, amniotic fluid, and that white cheesy substance called vernix. It seems natural to want to clean them up right away. Studies do show that waiting 6-24 hours for that first wash and instead rubbing the vernix into their skin can help protect their skin against bacteria, moisturize, and help regulate body temperature.

Sleeping between contractions. Did you know that it is totally normal for contractions to spread out during the pushing phase? It's not "failure to progress" or "stalled labor," it's normal, physiological birth. These mini breaks give your body a chance to restore energy for pushing your baby out!
