We got a double header today - I’m covering a bridal shower in Madison and Amanda is doing a wedding near Scottsboro.

I’ve been seeing a lot of talk about gas prices lately. I pulled up my gas tracker - I got my Camry 7 years ago this week and use this app to track gas and maintenance. (As you can see I’ve spent $16,000 on gas since I got it and drive 77 miles a day on average ) We can clearly see that prices have been on an uptrend for years now.

Shortly after I got it gas was at a low of $1.46/gallon. All time high was $4.49 in July 2022.

Today I paid $4.12/gallon - so we’re creeping up on the all time high.

I hope the gas prices come down soon because we are about to enter the busy Fall wedding season plus we have some fun road trips planned too!

To combat these prices we are using both a combo of the Amex platinum Walmart gas discount plus Upside app which also gives sizeable gas discounts.

Congratulations to Hanna and Wyker on their special day! We had a great team covering this event at the Witt House and Hartselle First United Methodist Church. So much emotion and fun packed into a 10 hour day - condensed into a 9 minute film.
