This beautiful image has been accepted into the Juried Rosewood Exhibition coming up this summer.
I am incredibly proud of the achievements I have accomplished this year. School may be coming to an end but it has opened many possibilities.

'The Radiant W**d'

This piece is an exploration of the extraordinary found within the mundane. By focusing on the humble Common Mullein, the work seeks to elevate a resilient "roadside w**d" into a subject of architectural elegance and grace.

The intentional use of low-angled, golden-hour backlighting serves as the primary transformative element. The light catches the fine, trichome-covered surface of the leaves, creating a radiant halo that defines the plants silhouette against the coarse, shadowed gravel.

Through this lens, the velvet-like textures and intricate vein structure become a study in organic complexity, inviting the viewer to pause and find wonder in the quiet, persistent life that thrives beneath our feet.
