šŸš˜ā¤ļø You Never Get Too Old…

I guess my love for classic and muscle cars shouldn’t surprise anyone.

I grew up with mechanics for uncles. One of my uncles was a race car driver, and as a little girl, I would go to Kil-Kare Raceway and watch him race while his brothers worked as part of the pit crew.

I also remember watching my uncle work on his cars. I was fascinated by the tools, the engines, the sound, and all the work that went into making those cars run.

I guess you could say I grew up with a doll baby in one hand and a wrench in the other. šŸ˜‚ā¤ļøšŸ”§

So maybe my love of photographing classic and muscle cars isn’t just a hobby.

Maybe it’s a little piece of where I came from.

This photo takes me back to around 2013, when I was out with my Canon Rebel doing what I love—photographing beautiful cars that caught my eye.

And here I am all these years later, still smiling when I see a classic or muscle car.

You never get too old to love your classics.

Because some passions don’t go away.

They become part of your story. ā¤ļø

Some photographs capture more than a moment—they capture a memory. šŸ’œ

I took this photograph around Mother’s Day in 2014 with my Canon Rebel. I remember spending time with my mother that day, doing some of the things we enjoyed together. She was nearby while I photographed this beautiful, rain-kissed flower.

Purple has always been one of my favorite colors, and those raindrops caught my eye immediately. Looking at this photograph now, all these years later, I realize I captured more than a flower that day.

I captured a little piece of a beautiful memory with my mother. šŸ’œšŸŒøšŸ’§

I HAVE A THING FOR CEILINGS:

I have apparently been looking up for a very long time. šŸ˜‚

This photograph was taken in 2013 at Cox Arboretum with my Canon EOS Rebel. Something about the pattern, warmth, and geometry of this wooden ceiling caught my eye—and naturally, I had to photograph it.

Looking back through my photographs, I’ve discovered that this isn’t a new fascination at all. I really do have a thing for ceilings. šŸ“ø

This morning, from my window… šŸŒ…

I was getting ready to wash my hair when something in my spirit prompted me to stop for a moment and look outside. I did—and this is what I saw.

I didn’t have time to go outside or set up the perfect shot. I simply grabbed my phone and captured what was right before me.

The colors. The clouds. The way the trees framed the sky.

For a moment, I could only think: God, You are truly magnificent.

Sometimes God reminds us of His presence in the simplest ways. We just have to slow down long enough to look.

ā€œThe heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.ā€ — Psalm 19:1

This morning, from my window, I was reminded that His glory is still all around us. ā¤ļøšŸ™šŸ¾

Portraits by Memories by Molene Photography šŸ“·

I’ve always loved photographing nature, scenery, architecture, and food. But over the years, I’ve also found myself drawn to photographing people—especially when the photograph feels natural, personal, and connected to the environment.

These are a few portraits I’ve captured over the years. Some were planned, some were candid, and some simply happened in the moment.

I’m beginning to explore this side of my photography a little more intentionally, while staying true to the style I love most: people, places, moments, and memories.

Which photograph speaks to you?

ā€œLong before today’s smartphone cameras, this peaceful blue-hour scene caught my eye. It’s a reminder that photography has never been about the latest equipment—it’s about noticing the beauty that’s already there.ā€ šŸ’™šŸ“±
