I know every photographer thinks they have the best clients but seriously speaking, I am blessed to work with amazing people; people who shift from just shooting subjects, to wonderful and meaningful relationships. This here is just one of those mommas that takes her family portraits seriously. I’ve been working with her and her fantastic crew (she has 4 very cool kiddos and such an easy going and fun hubby) for 9 years now, and every year ends up being my new favorite session. I love to see how they’ve all grown (this is a family of giants, no exaggeration), and also just how beautiful their familial bond continues to flourish. I already know how to deal with the jokester, loosen up the introvert, chat it up with the extrovert and laugh and enjoy myself with ALL of them. Mom starts coordinating outfits weeks before her shoot and always ends up looking on point! I love how mom and dad see the importance of not only getting photos of the kids, but also including themselves in these memories. Isn’t she a beauty? Love the Allen clan! 😘

Let’s be real. Kids do not always want to take photos and smile for the camera. Mom is usually the most enthusiastic about the session and it’s my job to make sure that all her hard work (choosing outfits, making sure they are fed, well rested and are well aware of her reward -bribe- if they cooperate during the session) was not in vain. Between mom and I, we get the job done. Extremely happy with this session.

Couldn’t help but turn my attention to this little guy while shooting his big sister’s Quinces photos. It was a very hot day and it also rained, actually...it poured, but he was enjoying every bit of it. Having a good ole time. I love how resilient children can be. He didn’t care that he was sweaty and wet. He was there for it! Photos of big sis soon to follow!
