So I have been dreading making this post just a little bit. It comes with a bit of sadness but a whole lot of happiness and excitement for the next chapter.
First things first, Milan Production will officially be closed for business permanently on September 20th. This has been an amazing road for me the last couple years and I want to thank anyone who I was able to work with from the bottom of my heart. What started as just a photography and drone operator business turned into SOOOOO much more. I have had some amazing experiences and been hired to work with some truly amazing clients. I've formed some awesome friendships that will last forever and built a wide network that saddens me to walk away from. I have some things on the schedule already over the next few weeks but if you are looking to get any last work in the books with me, you have until September 20th to do so.
It saddens me to close up shop on something I worked so hard to build from nothing. For me personally, I will pick up the camera again one day. When and where that will be is TBD. It will be a few years off at the very least. I love being behind the camera and drone operations are only going to grow in the future. It will be exciting to come back to it when the time is right and I get the opportunity. Again, thank you so much for everyone who has been on the other side of the camera and worked with me.
For the second part, the reason for the closing of the business is my future and the leaving of the midwest area where I have spent my whole life. Most know already but I took my oath and signed my contract with the US Air Force back in April. I received my orders 3 weeks ago and will be shipping out on October 13th to start my new career as an Operations Aviator. That will put me in San Antonio for at least 6 months with a few more months in New Mexico after that. From there, I don't know where the journey will take me but I know I will be based somewhere south or on the coast. With my brother's 21st birthday, which would have been tomorrow, I can't wait to start this journey and finish what he started. I know I have made him proud making this decision and will honor our Fallen Airman with everything I got.
With that being said, friends and family, please reach out if you want to connect before I leave in October. That's what I will be doing with the time I have left after closing the business. And spending a lot of time with my Millie girl. I love what the midwest has brought me over the years. It's made me who I am. However, I am ready to move on and am really unsure that I ever make the move back to the area after my service.
I couldn't be more excited for this next chapter and I will update everyone when I can. I know I will be limited as to what I can post on socials due to the confidential nature of what I will be doing.
I love you all and I thank you for everyone who has played a part in my life thus far. You will not be forgotten and I will carry those experiences with me forever!
