I’m Patrick Gibson, and I need your help! I’m finally launching my biggest art project to date: Scars in Stillness. I’ve been sitting on this idea for about a year, and I’m building it from the ground up. I’m looking for 50–100 people to take part in this meaningful art project.
This project is about the marks we carry and the stories behind them. I’m looking for scars with meaning, the kind that changed something. Physical, medical, survival, recovery, war, accident, trauma, surgery, birth, disability, violence, self-harm recovery, anything that holds weight. It doesn’t have to be dramatic or “perfect.” It just has to be real to you.
The type of people I’m looking for:
People who are willing to be honest and vulnerable.
If selected, I’ll photograph one strong black-and-white close-up image of your scar. One image, focused on the scar itself. This is a collaborative art project: no charge, no money involved.
All privacy and project details are explained in the Google Form.
