I photographed this trio of sandhill cranes in flight at Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge this past December. I love how they are flying right in front of the mountains in the background.

Think this is my favorite shot of a Chincoteague foal that I photographed in May of this year. I think this colt's appearance was very striking with his blue eyes.

I photographed this American Oystercatcher at Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge in May of this year. I like the reflection with this one.

I photographed this beautiful snowy egret in May of this year at Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. I find wading birds to be beautiful and elegant. I am always drawn to photograph them when an opportunity presents itself.

This photograph of a black bear was made at Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge in North Carolina years ago. I was fortunate enough to have it published in the Nature Conservancy Magazine as well. Wild places and wild creatures have value and they deserve our care and consideration. It is my belief that they were created and have intrinsic value just like you and I. Even if you do not believe as I do I think we can agree that their conservation is important.

I photographed this green heron as it hunted for it's breakfast at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in Washington DC at the end of July. This bird was not the least bit concerned about me, I was able to get fairly close and took multiple images.

In September of 2024 I photographed this prairie dog at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. I know it was eating but to me it looks like its praying. It was fun watching and photographing them.
