I photographed this white-crowned sparrow at Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in December of last year. I have missed that place since the moment we got on the airplane to come home.

I photographed this beautiful coyote at Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico this past December. Photographing a coyote was a goal of mine for that trip I was so excited to see two of them on our last visit to the refuge. This one was close enough to photograph.

Being a nature photographer is about creating beautiful images. But that's not all, it's also about experiencing the healing of being in nature. The Fall colors, the sound of water rushing over the rocks in a mountain stream bring me peace. It helps me feel closer to the creator.

I got up early this morning and drove to my favorite spot along Hunting Creek near Thurmont Md. Each time I visit this location I come home with slightly different compositions.

I photographed this bull elk at Rocky Mountain National Park in September. In the early morning the sun illuminated the trees and plant life in the valley below with beautiful sunrise tones. Creating a beautiful background for this beautiful animal.
