I've been coming to Block Island at least 25 years now. It used to be during my spring break as a teacher. Then some years in June, right after school let out. Also came here in winter when our school occasionally had a winter break. I prefer the quiet time on this island and am particularly drawn to winter. With the snow, it becomes a different world.

Snowy day project. Finding and editing old photos that I never posted anywhere. Here's one of the Callicoon train depot. Love our little town. Well, I technically live in Damascus but there's not much happening in Damascus, so I've adopted Callicoon as my town - just a few miles away.

Almost winter and I'm loving this time of year. Took this photo early yesterday on a walk along the Delaware River. It was remarkably quiet after the night's snowfall. Winter is fast becoming my favorite season.
I am blessed to live in such a beautiful place. Yes, I'll always and forever miss the sea, but this river and countryside has a hold on me too.
