You're invited to a bioblitz! Help us find and identify as many species as possible across our wetland on on Saturday, April 25, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. If you can find a wild animal or plant and take a picture of it, you can participate as a bioblitz observer!

Why bioblitz? Bioblitzes are great ways to get outdoors, connect with the environment, generate useful data for science and conservation, and help us inventory the plants and animals at JBS. Your participation as a member of the public is what separates bioblitzes from traditional biological inventories conducted by scientists.

You'll be bioblitzing with 2026 FIFA World Cup staffers and with cities all over the world! The bioblitz is part of a series of events to give World Cup workers opportunities to be out in nature around Dallas-Fort Worth. It will also be part of the City Nature Challenge weekend, a global science phenomenon when citizen scientists around the world collaborate to share observations in nature.
