Today Hudson is about to take his last curtain call as a high school student, his star is on the rise as he heads off to college to pursue a degree in theater. When planning out Hudson’s senior sessions it was important to preserve the memory of the countless hours spent both in front of and behind the curtain. Hudson’s a leader beyond the Theater, but acting and preforming hold his heart. He was so much fun to work with and brought amazing energy to every one of his session... yes, sessions. More of those images to come, but Congrats to all my Wylie High Seniors graduating today! AHMO!

One of the greatest honors you can have as a photographer is when your clients choose you time and time again to chronicle their important life moments. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Preston since he was a small child. He’s grown into quite an accomplished young man and I confess photographing and editing his senior photos made me a little misty eyed.

Rustic, outdoors and natural were all words we used when planning what we needed for Preston’s senior photos. He loves being outdoors and his senior session highlights just that. From creekside to just sitting in his beloved truck, the great outdoors is where Preston wants to be. I love that we incorporated his Carhartt Jacket, boots and cowboy hats. His photos have the most Texas vibe I think I’ve ever photographed.

Reflections and movement created a moody vibe for Olyvia's session. We played around with reflecting light off iridescent mylar to create an other worldly feel, where the play of light and shadow give these photos an almost underwater feel.

Let me tell you, Hayden owns every room she steps into. She's a force! She can go from fun and silly to strong and confident in a flash. Hayden understood the vision and nailed it!

Sparkle, shine and a touch of glamour, that's what this entire mylar session with Paul is about. What a fun challenge for both Paul and I to figure out the best poses and angles to maximize reflections while still creating the the overall look I envisioned.

Being trusted to create updated headshots for actors and models is always an honor. These are the images they trust to drive bookings and create a positive rapport with casting directors. It's a daunting thing to know you will be judged at one glance! As for Layla, she needed updated images to show how she's changed in the last year or so. She also needed a little variety in expression. Let me tell you, Layla came prepared! She read the brief and walked in ready. As always the beautiful lighting provided by MoLight . This is a 2 light set up using the Snap42 and AD600 as the main light and an AD100 in a strip box for a bit of hair light and separation.

Looks like I'm on a bit of a black and white kick lately. There is something timeless about a black and white image. Black and white has a stripped down and authentic feel, and really highlights the subject in a more personal way. I love how these photographs of Urban turned out. MoLight with the big Snap 42 as the light modifier.
