There are some sessions that feel bigger than photography.
This one was especially meaningful because she was my 100th Flying Dress client.

And let me tell you, she ROCKED this shoot.

From the moment she stepped in front of my camera, I could feel her strength in every image.

I don't believe it's a coincidence that my Flying Dress Experience began with the red dress for my very first session, and 100 sessions later, my 100th client chose that same red dress.

There’s something incredibly special about that kind of full-circle moment. What started with one woman, one dress, and an idea has now grown into 100 women whose stories I've had the privilege of capturing.

But what makes her story even more powerful is what she shared with me. In October 2025, her life changed when she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a rare blood cancer. Through it all, she has continued moving forward, embracing faith, strength, and the journey ahead.

She told me she wanted me to share her story because she hopes it will encourage someone else who is going through something difficult.

Her words say it best:
“It’s been a journey of change, challenges, and faith. But through it all, I know that with GOD, all things are possible.”

And that is exactly what I saw in front of my camera.

Not a diagnosis.
Not a difficult season.

I saw a woman who showed up, stood tall, laughed, danced, twirled, and absolutely rocked her Flying Dress session.

Her story is a reminder that sometimes life takes us somewhere we never expected to go. But even in the middle of uncertainty, there can still be joy. There can still be beauty. There can still be new beginnings.

And sometimes, you just need to put on the red dress and remind the world that you're still here.

There’s something special about watching this Flying Dress journey reach number 99.

For this session, we started the day at sunrise, not only to beat that Texas heat, but to capture the quiet beauty and magic that comes with the beginning of a new day.

She also chose a spot at White Rock Lake that I’ve never used before, which made this session even more fun for me creatively. A new location, beautiful morning light, and another incredible woman stepping into her moment.

One of the greatest gifts photography gives us is the ability to see just how much life has changed. ❤️

I’ve been photographing this family for about 10 years. When we started, there were two little ones. Then there were three. And eventually, four.

And through the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching them grow right in front of my camera.
Kids change so quickly. The little faces get older. The missing teeth grow back. Personalities become bigger. They get taller, more independent, and before you know it, the little person you remember is suddenly not so little anymore.

That’s why family photos aren’t just about having something nice to hang on the wall. They’re about preserving a season of your family that you can never recreate.

Take the pictures. Get in the pictures. Document the missing teeth, the growth spurts, the personalities, and even a little bit of the chaos.

Years from now, those photographs won’t just show you what your children looked like.

They’ll remind you who they were. ❤️

Sometimes, a traditional headshot is all you need.

A clean, polished, professional image that says, “I’m serious about what I do.”

But in today’s world, that may not be enough.
People don’t just want to know what you do. They want to know who you are. They want to connect with the person behind the business, the title, the brand, or the service.

That’s why having images that feel approachable, authentic, and relatable matters.

Just a couple of forevers....

Photographing couples like this is a reminder that the most meaningful images aren't just about how love looks, they're about how it feels.

Some branding sessions happen in a studio. Others happen exactly where the story is being written.

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to photograph the incredible team at Bonton Farms in Dallas. More than a farm, Bonton Farms is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring hope in a community that has faced decades of food insecurity and limited access to resources. Through fresh food, job training, education, and economic opportunities, they are creating lasting change, one person and one family at a time.

That's what made this branding session so meaningful.

Branding photography isn't just about professional headshots. It's about telling the story of who you are, what you do, and why it matters. Sometimes the best backdrop isn't a seamless paper background or a corporate office. It's the field where the crops are growing, the kitchen where meals are prepared, the workshop where ideas come to life, or the place where lives are being changed.

When people see you in the environment where your work has purpose, they connect with your story on a deeper level. Those authentic moments build trust in a way that posed portraits alone cannot.
