Forecast said rain. The Raiders said 42. 🌧️😏

A soaked Homecoming night didn’t slow East Paulding down. The Raiders handled business under the lights and came away with a 42–9 win over Chapel Hill.

Rain falling. Stadium lights glowing. Football flying. Honestly, Mother Nature understood the assignment. 📸🏈

That third quarter sky deserved a highlight reel of its own. 🔥🏈 East Paulding’s JV and freshmen brought home a 52–14 win over the Hiram Hornets on their home turf, but that sunset stole the show!

Friday night wasn’t only about football. The future of East Paulding Bands was in the stands, and they were ready to be heard. 🥁🎷🎺

Middle School Night on September 11 brought the next generation under the lights to play alongside the high school band. There were a few nerves, plenty of smiles, and one big sound filling the stadium.

This is how a band program grows. Older students welcome the next generation, younger musicians step into something bigger, and everyone comes together through the music. The future of East Bands is looking bright and sounding even better.

A story for the history books 🤩

One brother scored his first varsity touchdown as a freshman…

Two years later, his little brother did the exact same thing!!

Bode Spence made his varsity debut at quarterback against Hiram as a freshman in 2024.

He called his own number on a QB keeper and ran it in for his first varsity touchdown.

Fast forward two years and five days.

Bode, now a junior, watched his freshman brother Brady take his first varsity snaps at quarterback against those same Hiram Hornets.

Then Brady kept the ball.

And ran it in.

Same opponent. Same QB keeper. Same unforgettable milestone.

Bode ran onto the field to celebrate his little brother.

Not as the starting quarterback. Not as the upperclassman.

Just as a big brother, watching Brady follow in his footsteps.

This one got me. 🖤

On September 6, 2024, #8 Bode Spence was a freshman making his varsity debut at quarterback against the Hiram Hornets. He called his own number on a QB keeper and scored the first varsity touchdown of his career.

Two years and five days later, Bode returned to the field against those same Hiram Hornets, now as a junior. Late in the fourth quarter, he stepped aside and watched his little brother, freshman #21 Brady Spence, take his first varsity snaps at quarterback.

Then history repeated itself.

Brady kept the ball and ran it in for his first varsity touchdown too.

The same opponent. The same QB keeper. The same unforgettable milestone. Two brothers, two years apart.

But what happened next is the part that says everything. Bode ran onto the field, full of pride, to celebrate his little brother. In that moment, he was not the starting quarterback or the upperclassman. He was simply a big brother watching his little brother follow in his footsteps.

No. 2 Zed Robinson kept running like the drawstring was somebody else’s problem and took it all the way in for six.

Tonight is bigger than football. 💛

Under the Friday night lights, we’re dedicating tonight’s game to Childhood Cancer Awareness and to one of our own, Kyleigh Mathley.

Kyleigh is a proud member of the East Paulding Raider Brigade and is fighting Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a very rare form of blood cancer.

Kyleigh, we hope you feel just how much love surrounds you tonight. Your Raider Brigade, your school, and your entire East Paulding community are behind you. We are proud of your strength, inspired by your courage, and standing beside you through every step of this fight. You are not alone.

Tonight, every gold ribbon, every cheer, and every light in the stadium is for Kyleigh, and for every child and family facing childhood cancer.

East Paulding made the most of home court on September 1, 2026 with both JV and varsity going 2-0 against Alexander and Chapel Hill. Chapel Hill also picked up a 2-0 win over Alexander.
