Hey family, I am so sorry to post this so late, a week after my birthday but it has been a CRAZY week since my party on last Sunday. But every one knows I could not pull this off without the support of a few dear, dear friends who participated in some capacity AND to all of those who attended THANK YOU!
To my fellow shutterbugs: Kevin LaMonte Photography, Tony Boyattia and Charles Sosocity Gbadebo, thank you fellas for the teamwork that makes the dream work. Major shout outs to: The staff at the Rayleigh Underground, they made this experience seamless. I know the bar service seemed lacking for some time but that was because I had an overwhelming response and did not prepare them for the increase in attendance. That's my fault not the venue! My apologies to all in attendance!
A resounding thank you to my long time friend Damion Hall (of GUY). You were amazingly gracious to not only come and mingle among my guests but to also grace the stage and serenade us with a little "Let's Chill" one of my absolute favorite GUY songs. Thank you again my friend! xoxo
To my two sistahs who held it all the way down for me - Juliea Hodgins Goodman (not only did she put in work but she drove in from Memphis to be here - AND WORK) and DrLawana Gladney all I can say is the epitome of being "DOWN", this lady was there for me for whatever the need - no questions, no complaints, JUST DID IT (and IT was a lot!) It's so amazing to know you have people who rock with you no matter what the need. That put in the work, lets be clear - before and after the event! To my sistahs Donisha Reed and Joyce Beamon (over 30 years in sisterhood); this goes for you both too.... you offered because of who you are. Thank you!
To my Host, by bro Steven Beamon, thank you, thank you for the over 30 years of support and friendship! To my sister and first friend in Texas some 37 years ago Karen Mann (the Commentator), you are a phenomenal lady, thank you for your generosity and giving of your time, flying in on support even through your own personal family priorities. Love you both!!!! Two of my rocks!
