Photography - Bryn Bonino

Photography - Bryn Bonino Dog Days Photography is on a mission to elevate the perception of dogs in the minds of all humans. Hey there, I’m Bryn Bonino.

We do this by offering customized heritage-quality wall art of dogs. My mom tells me that “dog” was my first word. And she says that I could sense them from a block away, even when I was in my stroller. My dad still laughs when he thinks back to the theatrical performance that I gave when I was 12-years old. I impersonated an erudite psychologist and gave my top 7 scientifically-proven reasons why

having a dog would be a positive influence on my development as a human. So, it’s an understatement that when I decided to get a dog of my own when I was 32, it was a pretty big deal. Given all this, it didn’t surprise anyone that after doing The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron, my strongest takeaway was to pair my skills in photography with my life-long love of dogs. As for why I know photography, I got my first “real camera” in 2011. Since then, I’ve pursued a lot of photography education. This includes studying with Maggie Steber and Harvey Stein. I also finished all the courses at the Austin School of Photography.

This is beautiful Whiskey. Honestly, when I first saw her and her blue eyes, I was like "WOW!"

But the amazing beauty of her is that she doesn't care what she looks like. She knows how she feels though.

And what makes her feel very excited to be alive is this ball. When we got it out, that's all she cared about and all she could think about.

So I gave up the idea of making a posed portrait of her in Rembrandt lighting. I brought in what she loves most. And, I don't know about you, but I think that the photo is so much more heartwarming.

Do you have a dog that brightens your life? I sure hope you do, because dogs can make us feel so much better about so many things.

It's not just the physical presence of dogs, though.

Did you know that when you hang large dog wall art like this in your home or office, the image itself will promote positive interactions with family and friends.

AND research shows that images of dogs can reduce rates of depression by 57%

WHAT?!?!?!

Yup it's true.

So imagine the possibilities if you had large wall art like this hanging above your own bed.

Here's another photo of Jerry. I think in this photo you can get a sense for how good of a listener is. If you didn't see my last post, Jerry's deaf and his human mom learned sign language to communicate with him.

The story goes that Jerry was a rescue from Austin Pets Alive. His coat didn't look what is does now and he was deaf. When his human mom saw his photo before he met him, she'd already fallen in love. So... they figured out how to make it work.

And now, from what I can see, they have a beautiful relationship.

Oh, dogs and humans who love dogs are so amazing!

When I first saw Jerry interacting with other dogs, I thought "What a little gentleman." He was so polite and smiley.

I went to go talk to his human mom and to him, and she told me that he's deaf. She learned sign language to teach to him so they could communicate.

I was so impressed!

Later when Jerry came over to have his photo made, his human mom was able to move around the set to get him to look at my camera and smile and this was all because Jerry is skilled as deep listening and he loves his momma!

What do the walls of your home or business look like? Do you have anything that emotionally means something displayed, or did you get a retail piece of art that you got for a deep discount to fill up the space?

Think of what it would feel like to have fine art photos of your dog hanging on the walls of your office or home. (If you do something like what I have pictured here, you can tell more of a story if you have a collection of images displayed.)

This is what Dog Days Photography specializes in - dog wall art that makes people feel good and that elevates dogs in the minds of all humans.

If you want to work with me, I'll lead you through a visualization process that helps you identify what you want your dog fine art to look like, then I'll use my photography knowledge to make those photos for you 🎉

This is Mister Beauregard The Great on his first birthday. Such a long name for such a little guy. But he didn't completely know how little he is.

I'd say that he looks rather stately as he shows off his sleek build.

Hey there, this is Lucy! I met her and her human dad at a "Pup Up Studio" event that I did with The Butterfly Bar at The Vortex.

Her human said that she was his one and only child. When I talked with him more later, he told me more about their life together. I could feel how much he loved her.

I don't know about you, but my favorite thing about Lucy is her ears. When I was standing, her head came just up to where I could easily pet her. I loved playing with her ears. I think she liked it too.

The great thing about fine art dog photos is that they aren't just good for homes. There is a lot of research that they help in business too!

Research shows that dogs can increase our ability to "feel good" by raising our levels of oxytocin by as much as 300%! Imagine what your B2C business would be if all of your customers felt better while they were there.

Dog wall art can also increase how connected humans feel with each other by 57%.

Imagine how much you would sell and how your referral rates would increase if you could tap into this power with customized dog wall art for your business.

If you're interested, I'd love to talk!

Oh Swoon! What a beautiful boy!

This is Anderson and I met him when I made his glamor photo while he was in the care of Austin Dog Rescue.

I'm not sure who's taking care of him now. But just look at this face. How could you not love him.
