One of the best parts of my year?

Finding out at this shoot that the last one we did was partially responsible for her getting together with her husband.

I wonder where this one will lead… 🔥

Never underestimate the power of showing up in a way that makes people stop, pay attention, and wonder who you are before you ever say a word.

WHAT A YEAR.
This year already I have taken photos for over 200 people.
TWO HUNDRED.
That doesn’t include any group or event photos.

Keeping the creativity alive is something I highly value from having watched photographers my whole life but also because it’s so easy to become caught up in the “to-do’s” as entrepreneurs and mom’s.

The busier it gets, the quieter I get (esp on social media) so I can focus on the things that matter and on keeping the creativity alive for my clients.

My favorite ways to stay motivated and in the creativity are so simple:
Going on walks and watching the light
Noticing people
Moving MY body
Getting outside
Dancing
Music
Gratitude (this one forever and always)
Just noticing…everything from fashion to flowers to business trends to social media strategy

When you’re in the middle of busy seasons, don’t underestimate what a 15-minute break away from your phone and “accomplish mode” will do for you.

That feeling of being alive and thriving is ready and waiting to sneak up on us when we give it just a little bit of space to breathe (or dance). 💃🏼

Nailed it on the first try……
after 29 years of testing, learning, failing, and trying again.

I’ve been shooting since I was 8- started on my dads floppy disk digital camera and I was hooked- and the speed at which my clients get killer photos has a lot to do with all the times it didn’t work, all the friends and clients that have come before, and all the relentless “just one more shots” that never stopped. 💃🏼

What’s something you do that seems effortless to others because you’ve practiced it So. Many. Times?

I used to think business only worked for men—or for women who learned to act like men.

Now I know a different kind of woman in business.

Women who treat business as an extension of their intuition and femininity, and who can step into decisive, masculine energy when the moment calls for it.

It’s added an entirely new dimension to work.

Women who step boldly into the workplace without hiding the parts that make them different.

Women who are honest about the balancing act of a family they love and work that exhilarates them.

Women who use their intuition as confidently as their logic.
Women who work with their cycles, wear color, laugh loudly, and lead without apology.

I’m here to celebrate these women, not just for the impact they’re making, but for the way they’re making it.

And I’m here to mirror back the real, feisty, gorgeous human they are so that THEY remember and see her every day.
