Update:

Unfortunately, I've had to call off my plans to go to the East Broad Top's Winter Spectacular due to me suddenly getting sick. I felt it would be wise to stay home and let this illness run its course instead of being sick and far from home. However, I will plan to go up there later this year whenever more schedules and details get released. That way I can hopefully combine multiple steam operations into one big trip.

Update for y'all:

As many of y'all may have noticed, January had been a bit of a quiet month for the channel aside from my video of 1309. Due to some financial constraints and the ice storm that crippled the region for days, I haven't been able to get out that much at all.

My next planned outing will be to the East Broad Top for their Winter Spectacular. As for the rest of February, with it being a shorter month, I'm not sure what else I'll be doing just yet.

I've decided to just upload my 1309 video and have it available on Friday at 6am central time instead of doing a year in review. As for any other plans for the month, it's still to be determined.

URGENT NOTICE: The Virginia Museum of Transportation, Inc. is announcing its full support for the Shenandoah Rail Corridor’s “Rails-WITH-Trails” project, which would preserve rail usage along the route known as the Norfolk Southern “B-line” running from Front Royal to Broadway, Virginia. If you love excursions and steam, and we know you do, we ask that you support Shenandoah Rail Corridor’s efforts to create a multi-use transportation solution by which a recreational trail will be constructed within/alongside a re-activated railroad right-of-way. It's called “Rails-WITH-Trails”. Rails and trails complement each other. This project would be another opportunity for historic rail excursions in Virginia which could complement our continuing #611 excursion partnership with Buckingham Branch Railroad. The potential to run steam excursions throughout additional areas of Virginia’s most beautiful scenery is real. You need to act now!! The Commonwealth Transportation Board votes on this in only five days!!
