Capture something neglected or left behind — rusted classic trucks, abandoned structures — that leaves viewers wondering who left it and why.
2️⃣ Shadows of October
Focus on lighting and composition where the dramatic shadows become just as important as the subject itself.
3️⃣ Nature’s Hidden Horror
Get close with macro observation and turn ordinary natural details — dewy spiderwebs, tangled vines, dead leaves — into something straight out of a horror movie.
4️⃣ Halloween After Dark
Embrace night photography and exposure to capture the atmosphere of Halloween after the sun goes down.

🛻 There’s a real advantage to shooting a bright white truck against a heavy Northwest Florida tree line as the sun starts to drop.
In the first frame, the deep shadows isolate the sharp lines of the Tacoma and let the white paint punch through the darker background.
Shift the angle and the late-afternoon light floods in, casting a warm golden-red glow across the grass and highlighting the front grille and stance.
Rugged everyday utility meets cinematic golden-hour light.
(If Toyota ever needs someone to put a TRD Pro in front of a Northwest Florida sunset, the camera is ready.)

🍃 Sometimes the best macro details are sitting right in your own backyard, waiting for the light to hit them just right.
Bright dappled sunshine on the grass meets deep, cool shadows under the canopy. Near the base of the trunk, the heavy green citrus fruits sit framed by thick foliage above and wild flowering weeds in the foreground.
Getting down to ground level completely changes the perspective and turns a simple garden plant into a layered, textured scene.

🐿️ Sometimes the most compelling shots come from the quietest moments right in our own backyards.
We spend a lot of time chasing big skies and bolder wildlife at the parks, but the everyday residents have their own stories too.
In this frame, the low light creates a natural vignette that isolates the squirrel the second it freezes in high alert. A simple patch of grass and dirt suddenly feels dramatic and almost cinematic.
You don’t always need a grand landscape. Sometimes you just need the patience to let the local wildlife step into the right pocket of light.

☀️ Sometimes the best light of the day isn’t found out on the road at all.
Late-afternoon sun transforms a quiet corner of the kitchen. Golden light filters through the sheer curtains, backlights the green leaves of the plants, and catches the copper bottoms of the hanging pans with a warm metallic glow.
