I'M BRANDICE MCMILLEN

I have been doing mixed media art for over 20 years. A fun fact about me: I caught the art “bug” very young, winning a D.A.R.E. I have been hooked on art since then. I now live in Cotopaxi, Colorado, near the Royal Gorge. Here, inspiration lurks around every corner. Some of my favorite art styles are photography, ink and pen drawing, pointillism (a series of small dots which

create a picture), oil painting, and acrylic and alcohol-based permanent markers. I developed a following of art collectors in the Denver Metropolitan area through hosting my own art shows, and being invited to participate in several different First Friday events in the Denver Art District. In addition, I have enjoyed supporting different Charity Organizations through donating portions of my sales at sponsored art events around the city. Most of you should know me pretty well. I no longer accept very many friends because I feel it’s not for me. And of late I’m not a fan of the platform. Almost every FB friend I have, I’ve known on some level, you are not just a number. But if you are still on my FB, it’s because we have some connection. I would love to see if we can still chat more than just likes... I decided to participate in an experience called “Meeting between Bowls of rice”. The idea is to see who reads a post without a photo. We are so consumed with technology that we forget the most important thing: good friendship. If no one is reading this message, it will be a short social experiment. But if you finish this till the end, I would love you to comment in ONE WORD about us. For example, a place, an object, a person, a moment in which you remember us.
