Looking back after my Uncle Steve's funeral service today, I have so many things that I am grateful for. Most notably, my Uncle Steve is the whole reason I got into photography. He used to take these absolutely amazing pictures and it inspired me to be like him. If you have ever been in Aunt Pam and Uncle Steve's house, you know what I am talking about. When we went to Puerto Rico, we would wake up at like 5:00am to get to the perfect spot on the beach to take breathtaking sunrise pictures. Any time I took a picture that I thought was really good, he was always one of the first I sent them to. And he never failed to tell me how awesome of a shot it was. As a matter of fact, the very last conversation I had with him was about photography. I was going to come up to Charlotte one day this summer and spend the night with him and my Aunt Pam. We were going to wake up and hit the road around 3:00am to head to the mountains for some mountain sunrise pictures. Unfortunately, we weren't able to mark that off our list together, but I will do it one day and I will be remembering him as I do it. I love you Uncle Steve and I will miss you so very much!!! You taught me photography and so much more. I will think of you every time I pick up my camera and take a sunrise picture just like we used to do! 📸❤️
