Yesterday we took pictures for 8 families Little Pink Houses of Hope brought to the Myrtle Beach Retreat. We are given about 15 minutes per family, which is up from the original 5 minutes I was given when I started with them. It's hard for me, because I don't want to just take pictures~~~ I ...well we want to capture that moment~~ and we want to make a real difference. Yesterday I was more emotional than I usually am, so I was a bit quieter. I can hide behind my camera and that makes it easier. The families are always so grateful, which I guess I understand, however I wish they all knew how very grateful and blessed Kim and I both feel to be able to do this. What makes this more special????? The love we are shown is amazing, but yesterday there was one of the daughters who hit me the hardest when she said how much she enjoyed taking the pictures because I made her feel beautiful. Goal accomplished!!!! She was beautiful~~~~ but of course like most people she doesn't see it.
