SENIOR GUYS: It's not just about the senior girls and their outfits. Show your own style, whether that's on the golf course or the athletic field, in your camo with your dog, or just hanging around in your comfy clothes. (Clean and not wrinkled for your moms, please). It's great to showcase your hobbies and passions, even if that passion is just being low-key and flying under the radar. Call or message to plan for a session.

Senior Girls. If you haven't already thought about your senior portrait session, it's time to plan on how you want to show your style, your creativity, yourSELF to the world. Some of you will want to put on your prettiest dress and go for the glam while some of you will want to head out into your own back yard in your favorite jeans. You can always consider a road trip to the OBX or Edenton or any other spot with meaning TO YOU. I'm ready to work with you whatever your thoughts may be. I know it's exciting to be a brand new senior heading into the school year but I always recommend waiting until a little later -- like September or October -- for the temperatures to drop a bit and you won't have to worry about your face melting and your hair frizzing. Sorry I've been too busy to post much lately. It's a joy to share some newborn photos of this little beauty, but it does give me a little slap in the face to know she's the GRANDDAUGHTER of a former student from my NCHS days. Time marches on.

Thanks to all my clients who took advantage of the annual February digital file sale. I always love looking back at these photos as I get the files ready for delivery. It gives me great pleasure to remember past events and to watch "my" children grow up. It happens so fast. Time flies when you love your work and get to work with nice people.

One of my favorite parts of the February digital file sale is pulling out old albums that my clients are interested in and taking a few minutes myself to stroll down memory lane. I was asked yesterday to pull the 2009 wedding file of Amanda Warren and Zach Taylor and I've had the best time looking through it. I always loved photographing weddings and I especially enjoyed one that was a "double local" -- both the bride and groom from this area. I always felt like I did a better job when I knew so many guests and understood their relationships to the families. I wanted to share a few photos, mainly from the reception which looked like a darn good time. So many familiar faces. Some who have changed only a little, some children who have grown up, some dear friends who have left us. I thought I'd share.
