Freelance Videographers & Filmmakers, would you like VCL to conduct a Free Pricing Strategy Workshop? As you may know, I am an amateur filmmaker (at best), that got into this to support our community. That said, I am an expert in business and pricing strategy with 20+ years’ experience. In the past two years I have had many filmmakers ask me for help with pricing to communicate online and to provide a method for creating and communicating custom quotes for clients. With so many variables in video production and clients with varying knowledge of filmmaking, I empathize with the challenges. If I get a big response from this post, I will gladly schedule a free Zoom workshop and share what I've previously shared with many friends and colleagues: Pricing and Packaging recommendations, different offerings for different client types, usage of add-ons for easy real-time change-order agreement, competitive alternatives evaluation, communicating value, understanding the appropriate amount knowledge-transfer to provide clients, and more.
