Greeting cards, photography, knitting, jewelry, watercolor, whimsical fancies...I've always busied myself by making things, not settling on one particular medium but noodling with new ideas when I got bored by the last thing or another project caught my attention. I have spent tons of money fueling my "I can make that" energy. Just ask my husband. My obsession got to the
point where he built a little art studio for me at the side of our house. I love the smell of that place when I first walk in! Jam-packed with cool things just calling my name. Make me!" is what I hear from tiny scraps of paper, rolls of fabric, shiny beads. "Your time will come", I say to them, "but today I'm trying something new!"
I'm trying to "think big" and "be positive" in my life. It works most of the time. But, on the days when I need an extra lift, I know that I can go into my studio, breath deeply, and look around at all the bright possibilities...and walk out with a glittery, happy something in my hand and in my heart.
