Today my baby turns one… it is so bittersweet watching my kids grow up. Such a big part of me wants them to stay little forever, and then there’s the part that loves seeing them in every new phase of life and loving each phase so differently.
My baby girl has changed me in so many ways. She healed parts of me I didn’t know needed healing, softened me, gave me strength and purpose, taught me to slow down, and is getting me out of my comfort zone daily. She’s also showing me how important the in-between moments are.
This past year was a rollercoaster, with the highest highs and the lowest lows. We grew, our family grew, and our hearts grew. Watching our little peanut grow each and every day has changed all of us for the better.
I couldn’t imagine my life without her, and I am so thankful God has blessed me to be her mama.
She’s 22 lbs, wearing size 9–12 month clothes, size 2 shoes (the tiniest little feet), and size 4 diapers. She’s walking, giving high fives, talking a lot, and is just the snuggliest girl.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us, supported us, and been a part of our lives this past year. I will forever be grateful for my village.
I can’t wait to see what this next year brings for us.
Happy Birthday, sissy girl! 💗
