I shot low-light, black-and-white street photos each of the last few days with both my OM System Olympus OM-D E-M 10 Mark II and Olympus OM-D E-M 1 Mark II cameras. I didn’t make award-winning images, but I had fun and got to scratch a creative itch.
The experience reminded me that I need to remember to include a small flash in my camera bag for low-light portraits. I have a Godox Global TT350-O I occasionally carry. Even that can be burdensome to carry sometimes. And although I own the Olympus FL-LM3, I often neglect to include it in my bag.
With this in mind, a PetaPixel post caught my attention today. “Godox’s $25 iM10 Mini Flash Is a Cute Little Fella,” provides news and a review of the new Godox iM10 flash. I think this is an interesting flash for Micro Four-Thirds shooters who want a pocketable, universal, manual flash for an equally tiny budget.
So, is Godox’s new iM10 the perfect, inexpensive, pocketable solution? Maybe, but you should consider options Olympus (which you might already own) and SmallRig.
