I was given the opportunity to photograph the DSACO: Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio's "Dancing With Our Stars" gala a couple of weeks ago after their original photographer fell ill with the flu. This was a wonderful, heartfelt event. I'll totally admit to shedding a couple tears while I hid behind my lens!

On Saturday, February 3, 2018 more than 700 people attended the 2018 Dancing with Our Stars Gala, presented by Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc., at the Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel. Guests had the opportunity to bid on more than 80 spectacular auction packages and have a hand in our Wine Pull, sponsored by Vanguard Wines and Gift Card Grab. During cocktail hour, Arthur Murray Columbus, Ohio www.Ohiodanceinc.com hosted a short dance lesson for guests, as well.

After dinner, DSACO honored Dr. Stephanie Santoro from Nationwide Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University, for her work in the Down syndrome community and her effort in making sure families are having a good experience when receiving a diagnosis. Following our Guest of Honor, 36 adults with Down syndrome performed two choreographed ballroom dances for all the guests.

The night wrapped up with a huge dance party on the dance floor, thanks to DJ Michael Young!

Thank you to Nicole Marie Photography for allowing me to assist a wonderful viking woodlands photoshoot today! This was my first ever styled shoot, and it was super interesting to see things behind the scenes, such as this shot. I learned a lot and am looking forward to sharing. This also convinced me to go all in with my Sony a6300... I picked up my Nikon once before putting it back down. Being limited to one lens really stretched my thinking, too. All in all, a good day.

This is beautiful, and I would totally be down for an after-wedding pet shoot!

When I got married, I wanted so much to have some Photos with my cat Arthur so I decided to do a special shooting just for us. Later a couple of friends asked me to do The same for them with their 3 cats, so we managed an After-marriage shooting. This is the lovely result.
