I asked Julia to put on one of my favorite outfits from the EMP Closet... the fringe on this just shines with the tap moves she makes!! It's too bad Julia has such a boring personality (sarcasm - obviously). This is the type of session I LIVE FOR! 😍

After we photographed the shoes, Julia got a chance to do what she loves. DANCE! Her energy is contageous and her smile can put anyone in a good mood. She is meant to be on a stage!!

.juliap knew she wanted to incorporate tap into her Passion Project session. She had tap shoes in every color in the rainbow from years of dance, except for orange. Wouldn't you know it, a week before our session, came out with orange shoes!! And of course, Julia grabbed a pair to complete the set. HOW CUTE IS SHE!?! What a fun session with a super-fun girl!!

I have always loved watching dancers. My oldest was on a team for a couple years in high school and I so enjoyed attending the competitions. clearly has put in her time over the years in dance. Art in motion.

Passion Project: Lyrical Dance

I've been grinning ear to ear since had her Passion Project session. Dancers are a photographer's dream. The lines, the grace, the emotion. All the things we love the most! I am not sure who enjoyed it more, Ryleigh doing her thing or me, doing mine.

We took a quick trip down the elevator to get a few more shots near the backstage door of a theatre. Love the vibes in all these images - Lilly is AMAZING!!

Though it was golden hour, it was pretty bright up on top of that garage - so I brought my strobe to help even out that light on Lilly. I could have photographed her for hours!!

For my last Urban Legend session, I asked Lilly and her mom to meet me at the very top of a parking garage (9 floors of driving round and round to get there, but it was worth it). The temperature and light were just perfect. I popped on a a lens filter I purchased a few months back and oooooohhh my goodness - MAGIC. I probably took about 100 photos of her just spinning and laughing. Simply glorious.
