✨To my dear friends, clients, and supporters —
With a full heart, I want to share that I’ll be closing my photography business for now. This year has brought some unexpected challenges; my husband and I have moved in with my parents to help care for my sweet mom, who is in the late stages of Alzheimer’s. As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult adjustment in and of itself. In the process of turning the basement into a space for ourselves, we discovered black mold throughout the house— which has added even more to our plates.
Between my full-time office job, home renovations we’re doing ourselves, and caring for family, I’ve realized I need to step back in order to give both my loved ones and my clients the attention they deserve. I want to serve you all with joy, and right now, that means focusing on being present where I’m most needed.
To each of you who has trusted me with your precious memories — thank you. Your support has meant the world. This is not goodbye forever, just a pause. I’ll be completing all current bookings with love and excitement, but won’t be taking on new sessions for the foreseeable future.
And a little personal note — my middle name is Marie, but my mom has always called me her “Emily Joy.” I named this business to honor her, and it feels right to pour that same love back into her right now.
Thank you for everything, truly. I’ll still be sharing my final sessions and keeping this page open until I return. You are all so deeply appreciated 💓
