Congratulations to Councilwoman Lourdes Barroso de Padilla on a powerful and deeply engaging Women’s History Month 2026: A Woman’s Work program.

Each speaker brought unfiltered honesty—stories of growth and transformation layered with grief, loss, failure, recovery, and resilience. This is the side of business that rarely gets the spotlight, yet it’s exactly where the grit is forged, where character is tested, and where that unmistakable “it” factor is born. We celebrate you Ella Williams Aslyne Rodriguez.

Thank you for creating a space where truth takes center stage—and for the community-changing work to elevate awareness and push for real, systemic progress toward pay equity for women.

And thank you to my friend Dr. Joyce Chen for the invitation! It was wonderful to be in a room filled with such dynamic people Emily Quick Schriver Pamela Conn Edwin Quinones.

The EMSPIRE MORE Conference this past Monday at The Ohio State University Union was…inspiring!

The Chat & Chew Lunch Conversations were something special—hundreds of students and community leaders gathered around tables for real, honest dialogue. I was honored to be part of it—answering questions, sharing my journey, and, most importantly, listening.

My table? Incredible. A group of dynamic young people with interests spanning theatre, art therapy, and cinematography—creative, thoughtful, and already thinking deeply about their futures. The talent and perspective in that room was undeniable.

Huge appreciation to Diandra Renée Gordon, PhD, Esq. and her team for designing such a meaningful experience and bringing so many voices together in one space. Programs like this don’t just inspire—they connect, affirm, and open doors.

Grateful to have had a seat at the table.

Overflowing with joy and pride💥

Congratulations to my sister in Christ, Andriel Ugbomeh, MSSA, LSW, on her well-deserved inclusion in Mahogany Media Group LLC – City of Columbus Special Edition. 👏🏾✨

Andriel is a tremendous leader and the CEO & Founder of Healing Without Limits Counseling & Consulting, and the impact speaks for itself—across city, state, county, and corporate spaces. She’s not just in rooms, she’s changing them.

What truly sets Healing Without Limits apart? Their leadership model is next-level: licensed mental health therapists serving as organizational consultants—combining deep clinical insight with data-informed strategy to help leaders strengthen morale, increase engagement, and design healthier, more sustainable workplace systems.

This is purpose. This is excellence. This is transformation in action.

So proud of you, Andriel—keep doing the work that matters. 🔥

Still thinking about the tremendous workshop, “Refuel Your Strengths: A Sweet Fire Experience for Women Who Lead,” facilitated by Johari Mitchell, M.Ed., NBCT.

I loved the mixed format of whole-group learning paired with 1:1 breakout work. We got comfortable, took over the entire Polaris CoHatch, and it was impossible to miss that powerful, transformative conversations were happening in every room.

From the “Who Are You?” exercise that pushed us well beyond titles and expectations, to post-it walls where we named the limiting beliefs that have been placed on us, the day was full, honest, and grounding.

At the core of the experience was a deeper understanding of our CliftonStrengths. I first took the assessment almost two years ago through Denison Edge, and revisiting it in this space brought everything into sharper focus.

My Top 5:
Connectedness
Positivity
Belief
Developer
Intellection

I now have language for what’s always been there—and clarity for how I want to lead going forward.

I let go of some real heaviness that day. I left affirmed, renewed, and genuinely ready to walk into 2026 with a deeper understanding of my strengths and how to use them with intention.

Thank you, Johari. Full circle.

🎬 BEHIND THE SCENES MAGIC! ✨

What a fantastic time on set with Frederick Lee Jr., of Lead The Way (LTW), and Anthony King, The Student Stakeholder, LLC! I was honored to represent A Tribe for Jazz as we came together for an electrifying student-led services podcast segment with ColumbusBlack.com.

Huge shoutout to our phenomenal host, Kevin Lloyd, founder of ColumbusBlack—on a powerful mission to empower, inform, and elevate the Black community through content, connections, and culture. Proud to be part of that momentum! Tipping my cap to Aarius Dumas for his technical mastery!

Deep gratitude to D’Shaquille Edge, ECI of Experience Columbus, for the opportunity, and special thanks to City Councilman Nick Bankston for his support of the Experience Columbus Minority Business Program, which continues to open real doors and drive meaningful impact.

Stay tuned… this one’s going to be good!

Last Friday with the Tri-Village Chamber Partnership was blessed. I had the honor of being the keynote speaker for the Membership Appreciation Luncheon — and the even greater honor of celebrating my beautiful sister in Christ, Andriel Ugbomeh, MSSA, LSW, as she received the Visionary Leader Award. If you know Andriel, you know that title barely scratches the surface.

Warm thanks to Katie Ellis and the entire Tri-Village team for hosting such a thoughtful and uplifting event. The room was overflowing with warmth, love, and the kind of energy that reminds you why community matters.

I was overjoyed seeing so many loving friends in the audience. My heart is full.
