These two are one of the sweetest pairs you’ll ever meet. Best friends through and through. I’m absolutely heartbroken by what they’re facing. Any amount of help, shares included, makes a difference.

Our dear friends, Kristin and her dog Lucy, need our help. They’re a familiar, smiling presence in our shop and part of our everyday here.

On January 16th, they were struck by a vehicle walking home. Both are hospitalized and are facing serious injuries, with Lucy in critical condition.

We’re asking our community to show up for them with the same love they’ve always shared with us.

The beginning of this month marked a big milestone: Marshie's Roar Pet Photography's 5 Year Anniversary!!! Marshie’s Roar was born from a love for animals, a camera in my hands, and my little partner, Lady. What began as a longtime hobby and a way to savor moments with my dogs transformed into a much larger celebration of the love and connection that makes every pet so special. ⁠
⁠
The name Marshie’s Roar was inspired by my westies, Marshmallow and Aurora. Aurora was my best friend and the soul behind it all — the “Roar” in the name, the heart in the mission, and the reason I do what I do. This anniversary marks five amazing years, but also the first one without her. Every session, every portrait, every wagging tail still carries her spirit. 🐾⁠

Five years ago, I was visiting my first shelter, photographing dogs in search of their forever homes. Now, life looks a little different — our house is full of happy coos, big smiles, and the sweetest chaos thanks to our twin babies, Maple and Rain, who just turned four months old! 🍁🌧⁠

And that brings me to an important update:⁠
Marshie’s Roar is on a temporary pause as I soak up this precious season of motherhood with our little ones. My camera is still busy capturing Lady, who continues to shine in front of the lens, and I’ve absolutely loved photographing our babies too! For now, my focus is on family and soaking in these fleeting early moments. This pause won’t last forever, and I can’t wait to return to creating, celebrating, and sharing more memories with all of you soon.⁠

To my amazing clients: thank you for your patience, your love, and your support through this new chapter. You’ve given me five years of trust and joy, and I can’t wait to return refreshed, inspired, and ready to create again when the time is right.⁠

This is Yuki — a Husky/Boxer mix with a heart as big as her ears! At first, she stood quietly, taking everything in as she tried to figure out what this whole “photo shoot” thing was about.⁠
⁠
With a little patience, a lot of soft words, and maybe a treat or two, she began to unfold — step by step, breath by breath. By the end, she was offering the proudest smiles, as if to say, “Okay… I think I like this!!”⁠
⁠
There’s something so special about watching a timid dog open up in their own time. That gentle moment when trust replaces hesitation and their true personality comes through ❤️ Yuki’s quiet bravery was pure magic to witness, and I feel so lucky to have captured that transformation through my lens.

Fall: the very best time of the year 🍂🧡 I love everything about it: the goodies, the colors, the crisp air, the cozy feeling it brings.⁠

I mean… my (human) daughter is literally named after one of fall’s many beautiful gifts. That’s how deep this love runs!!! 🧡 Everything about this season just feels like magic.⁠

And these two? They're bringing the vibes pretty hard with their choices of accessories!! ✨ If you're not already excited for flannel weather, pops of orange all around, and crunchy leaf walks… this should do the trick! 🍁🫏

BACON!! 🥓 As you probably guessed, he’s every bit as irresistible as you’d imagine 🐾⁠

This sweet boy was pure heart. Gentle, affectionate, and so easy to love. I adored photographing him. He gave me that soulful eye contact, that quiet calm, and a softness that’s impossible to fake.⁠

And his coloring? Absolutely stunning. Those warm, rich tones paired with the kindest, most colorful eyes — he’s a total showstopper.⁠

Our final session (9–12 months) marked the end of an entire year spent with this glorious, floofy icon — and honestly, I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. After four magical shoots, I was officially hooked on this Pickled Peach 💖⁠

Watching her grow from a tiny bean into a confident, camera-loving queen was pure joy. This is exactly why I love these year-long sessions — the bond, the evolution, the attitude that blossoms in front of the lens. It’s something truly special.⁠

We’ve made it to the 6–9 month glow-up, and every single hair is in its perfect place ✨⁠

During this session, you could really see the royal transformation taking shape — baby Pickle was becoming a full-on Pickle Princess. She had opinions, she had angles, she had ✨ presence ✨⁠

This is one of the most magical parts of the year-long photo journey — when pups start to grow into themselves, and you can actually see their little personalities bloom right in front of the lens 💖⁠
