Nighttime in Tokyo was amazing.

But… I’ll take the port arrivals every time.

Early mornings—watching sleepy cities slowly come into view as the day begins to wake.

Many people miss it. I’m not really an early morning person, but I'm awake with coffee in hand for this!

Japan, April 2026

I thought I’d come home talking about the different cities, castles, and food.

Instead… I keep thinking about my shoes.

Taking them off, putting them back on—over and over each day. At temples, restaurants, even places I didn’t expect.

Such a small thing, but it kept reminding me I was somewhere completely different.

A quiet respect. A shared understanding of care and cleanliness—unspoken, but everywhere in this beautiful country.

Almost didn’t post this - perfectionism getting the best of me 😜.

Sans Se Festival celebrates the end of the Christmas season. It was the most colorful, energetic, and unique street party I’ve ever attended. Loved capturing the faces of everyone around me—so much better in real life than my photo shows.

Motivation to keep practicing.

Ireland was a trip of many firsts.....First hike in the pouring rain and it turned out to be one of my favorites.

Even back at home, we've gotten better at not letting it rain on our plans—it’s easier to just throw on the rain pantspants🤣

Loved exploring Greece💕. The winding cobblestone paths, fresh white paint, and bold pops of color. Turned this corner - and for a minute - life felt simpler, brighter and easier.

I wish we’d had more time. The canyon and waterfalls kept changing as the light moved through the clouds - colors kept popping up in new ways. No rainbows at the base for us, but still amazing.

This type of photography pushes me the most 🤪

We must have caught it during a lull early in the evening—there weren’t many people, which gave me a chance to really take it in.

Street photography is tricky for me because what I see doesn’t always translate through the lens. Still figuring this style out, but moments like this make it SO much fun to try.

Luck was on our side (and full body rainsuits came in handy!) 🌧️ I grabbed this shot just before the clouds let loose.

Photo Tip: Early morning or late afternoon = soft light …but apparently, dark clouds do the same! 😜

Yellowstone, September 🍂

Grizzlies! 🐻 I never imagined we’d see so many. After two photograph attempts that didn’t go as well as I hoped for, the third time felt like a true gift . 🙏

It reminded me that God often gives us multiple “tries”—and unexpected, undeserved blessings.

Tip: Early fall is magical for wildlife spotting. The colors, hours leading up to dusk, and animals everywhere make it unforgettable. ✨

One of my newest favorite travel reminders: Look up!

Inside one of Westminster Abbey’s famous chapels, the ceiling completely captivated me.

Funny how that happens in life too — we walk too fast and miss the beautiful things overhead.
