West has been uploaded. This was truly hard for me to post, and I hope this is a one-and-done and I don’t have to follow up with reminders after every game. I don’t like drama or conflict, but seeing the constant post knowing there were not purchased just really got to me. I look forward to the rest of the Wildcat football season. I truly enjoy sports photography; it’s my absolute favorite thing to shoot, along with wild, crazy, goofy little kids.
Before I upload pictures from last night’s game against West Marion, I want to take a minute to address something.
I’ve recently started charging $5 for individual action shots. I know that may be different from what people are used to, but I hope you’ll understand why.
Photography is not a hobby for me—it’s my actual job. There is a lot of time, money, equipment, software, education, and work that goes into providing high-quality professional images. I’ve spent the past two years learning, improving, and building NR Photography into the business it is today.
What really bothers me is seeing people screenshot my photos, use AI to remove my logo/watermark, and then post or use those images without purchasing them.
For those who may not know, I can see the activity in my galleries. I can see who views, favorites, and purchases photos. So when a watermarked image is taken, altered, and posted without being purchased, I’m not guessing—I have proof.
That $5 isn’t just paying for a picture. It helps cover the equipment, time at the field, editing, software, and business expenses that go into creating these images.
If you love a photo, please support the person behind the camera. Purchase it.
I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who supports my work, shares my photos, recommends me, and allows me to do what I love. I’m so proud of how far NR Photography has come in just two years.
