I have to be honest when I first entered Petrified Forest National Park I didn't understand why it was called that. Thought there were just some Petrified logs here and there...nope!!! When you get further into the park and into places like Crystal Forest, you see petrified wood as far as the eye can see!! It was truly a sight to behold and I loved walking around it. It was like visiting a prehistoric wilderness. Walking in a jungle that once was....
The light was flat during the day but as the afternoon glow took hold, the park had a new aura surrounding it. I was blessed with the best sunset of the trip at this park. I cant wait to go through these photos!!!
Oh and dont be in this park after 7:30 PM I found out lol.
