The SC Blue Cross team wanted something different.

Initially, what started as a two minute brand piece ended up turning into two one-minute pieces. Our first bit of creative was an emotional, sincere bit trying to pull people into the characters.

As things develop, the plan changes, and with shorter time on-screen comes less time to develop buy-in. With that, we went with likable people, likable characters, doing things that the audience could see themselves doing every day.

What we got were TV spots that didn’t take themselves too seriously, and get the message across in a way that’s memorable and approachable.

We had so much fun making these spots.

New beginnings 🤌🏻

Over 10 years ago, we did our first major project. Five videos, each video about a different county, for a REAL organization!

They trusted me to deliver, and although looking back makes me *cringe*, they are trusting me yet again to update these videos.

5 counties.
10-12 days of filming.
Lots of great food and coffee.
Good times 👍🏻

Today, our video campaign with BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina launches across the state.

For three days we stuffed over 20 people into my mom’s house to capture the brand messaging in a way that’s fun and fresh for them.

“Today: An unintentional study about how 7 people occupy the same space.”

Today we helped Columbia Connectors hammer out some interviews for content, and since we hand a gigantic beautiful window (and we were in a loving breathing Aloft Columbia Downtown hotel), we opted to stay in one spot.

The sun changed over 2 hours, and so did the energy with each person. Ignore that last scrub in the plaid shirt.

It’s been a minute - but not because we haven’t been busy.

this felt like a good moment to be thankful, and say thank you to the people who have trusted in me to help make their vision come true, and I’m just super grateful.

🤘🏻The faces of a good time 🤘🏻

Sure, we do our best to make great videos and films for our clients. I’ve said from day one that we would have one thing that separates us from the others:

We are going to have a good time.

“It’s not digging a ditch.”

Good, hard work doesn’t have to suck, and attitudes don’t have to suck either. In fact, I would argue better work comes from a better attitude.

Maybe I’m wrong about that.
Doesn’t matter.

We’re still going to have a good time. 🤷🏼‍♂️
