🫠 Composite photography is fun. I merged my sunset and Milky Way photos to create this dreamy paradise. I also got this idea because I was planning on photographing the Milky Way over the Paint Mines on Friday, but they said the night photography permit will take up to 2 weeks to process (typical of government, no surprise there). So, since the new moon is here, I'm just going to go there for sunset photos and drive somewhere in the area off the property to get Milky Way shots and then merge them in Photoshop because I can. I can always get a permit for the next new moon but that's a month away and I'm impatient. I'm just so pumped for Milky Way season. 🤩

I went camping with my family this weekend and was able to capture the Milky Way rising over Turquoise Lake in San Isabel National Forest. You can see light pollution in the distance from Leadville, CO. I am in awe! I wish I stayed out longer to get the extent of it, but I thought I had another night. Either way, I am proud of this one. 😍
