Remember September 11th.......
Sept. 2011: This is a piece of the World Trade Center.
The Lebanon (CT) Volunteer Fire Department acquired it and put it on display on the town green for everyone to see.

This is one of my favorite photos for the paper.
I love that people needed to touch it.
I love the varying expressions on peoples faces.
It was a good thing to do.

This was very thrilling! Much more so that we thought. Seeing it in person was amazing and someday maybe a camera will be made to capture it perfectly.
The corona in during totality was so crisp and clear and bright like cold fresh spring water or a diamond or glass.
Amazing!

Great faces of Colorado Springs, CO.

This was the annual Pikes Peak Rodeo or Bust event where over 200 businessmen and cowboys ride through downtown to promote the rodeo. This is the start of a 5 day trail ride around Pikes Peak to promote the event in various towns along the way.
Fort Carson also sent out their Mounted Color Guard for the event.

Sometimes the clouds are just beyond description here in southern TN. Wheat field will be ready for harvest soon.

Here is something fun to do. I zoomed in on lights during a long exposure and got a fun effect. I like the 3d effect in the Car Wash and it also brought the Jumbo Hamburger sign 'closer' to the lights in the restaurant.
